..and yet another takeaway in mosborough

Recommended Posts

Just been to the post office in mosborough village and saw yet another fast food opening up!!! <removed>

Doesn't mosborough have enough of these. No doubt some rules were bent to allow this through. The Indian, which incidentally was twice refused planning permission after angry residents submitted a petition. There has been no mention anywhere that yet another would be opening up.

So now mosborough has:-

2 Fish & Chip shops

1 Chinese

1 Indian

Plus another Indian cafe (sorry I can't use the word restaurant)

And now notification of a Pizza a Kebab joint!!

All within 200yds of each other.

You need only look at other shopping precincts to see these 'things' ruin the areas. They are horrendous, shut and boarded up during the day... Allowing us all to see the graffiti on their shutter blinds.

Eckington precinct is now the ugliest place this side of hell thanks to these businesses. Infact you need only drive a short distance to see how they reduce any area they sprout themselves into line up of dirty doorways, litter, vomit in short they reduce any area to that of squalor.

Absolutely pig sick of the sight of them.

But, no doubt our council officials are well away from such delights.

Write to the Daily Mail?

Seriously though, if there wasn't the demand for these places then they wouldn't exist. There must be, so they do.

It puts money into the economy doesn't it or would you rather the shop stay closed?

Yes it puts money into the local economy but you can have too many of the same thing . This has happened on Whit Moor one opens up one closes became their is not enough customers to go round .

It seems a few local people aren't keen on the idea looking at the comments here and on the Mosborough Community Forum page... It's probably a bit late now for plans to change though. Hopefully it's nice food at least!
