My phone suddenly said * No Sim Card*

hello ther,

could anyone help about this or maybe advice?

 

my phone suddenly said * NO sim Card *

 

i tried everything after that,, i took out the sim ( i never ver opened my phone before nor took the sim out)

 

but no joy,, pls help .

Hi, have you dropped the phone recently, maybe the connector that reads the sim has been damaged..

Is it a HTC phone by any chance?

 

Either way dial *#06#, does it give a long number? (don't post it by the way)

*#06# works on all phones, and simply displays the IMEI, nothing to do with being HTC or not!

I didn't imply that showing the IMEI was specific to HTC phones, hence why I said Either way dial *#06#. Android devices will either crash the dialer, or simply not show anything if the radio or modem image has become corrupt.

 

The reason I mentioned HTC in the first instance, is if the images have become corrupt, the repair process is a lot more long winded, and requires the bootloader unlocking and achieving S-OFF.

sorry replied so late ,,as i dont have phone yet till now,,

ermmm yes i did,, but that was a day ago before it was gone,

 

thanks to your reply my phone is in the repair center now and i dnt know if they will charge me for repairs,, ( still in full warranty though )
