Provisional licence

I know it gives a list of some who can sign as knowing you for 2 years or more.

But my doctors no longer do licences and my local shop i have never used so they have refused.

Can a friend do that part or if not is there somewhere else i can get it done

Just had a look at that link, and learned something. I didn`t know there was a situation that permitted a person to legally drive a car at 16 years old.

How about a local councilor, they are there to serve us, they should be helpful.

Does your (every-) local councillor know every person of his or her ward personally for at least 2 years?

Who can sign your form and photo

The person signing the form and photo must:

 

be resident in the UK

know you personally

not be a relative

not be living at the same address as you

Suitable people include:

 

local business person or shopkeeper

librarian

professionally qualified people, eg a lawyer, teacher or engineer

police officer

bank or building society staff

civil servant

minister of religion

magistrate

local councillor

Members of Parliament, Assembly Member, Member of the Scottish Parliament or Member of the European Parliament

DVLA will contact the person who signs your application

He can complain about the bin collections at the same time ;)
