crookedspire   10 #5 Posted September 28, 2016 Oddly enough in the history section someone wanted to know where the bombs fell in WW2 we have three more locations to add. I bet their is more given the fact works like Heathcotes were in the area.
 Share this content via...

Not sure what year they moved though. Strange to look now and imagine housing there.
 Share this content via...
Nagel   10 #10 Posted October 1, 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-37496466 3 WW2 bombs apparantly  It's highly unlikely any WW2 bombs were found as the roads would have been closed for far longer than a couple of hours.  Does anyone know the story of what happened? Daven   10 #12 Posted October 2, 2016 (edited) I would hazard a guess there are many more that are, as yet, undiscovered and are buried underneath existing buildings in the city centre. I doubt that many or any are still live after 76 years........ but who knows ?  http://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/1428-map-of-where-bombs-fell-in-sheffield-ww2/ Edited October 2, 2016 by Daven
 Share this content via...
