Is it too early to put the heating on?

Recommended Posts

18 degrees in the car! 18 degrees! Why put the heating on?

(put it on if you like mate, all up to you, we all have different physiological needs and expectations!)

It's going to feel quite autumnal this week, has anyone started to put their heating on during the evenings yet?

Yes, turned my heating on today for an hour to warm up a bit. I don't think it's that cold just cooler than it has been & I hate being cold!

Turned mine on over a month ago, temperatures in Sept were very low at some points.

The temperature down here in Kent has been in the high 20s and often in the 30s during September.

Today it was a bit nippy at 18

Call me stupid but I tend to just put the heating on if I feel cold, regardless of the time of year. Thing is though I rarely feel cold, unfortunately my wife is nesh and has in the past been known to have the heating on in July. I am still sleeping with the windows open at the moment and probably will do until the temps hit below 5 degrees.

I had a tip from a friend who told me a money saver. Put candles inside terrecota plant pots, pot upside down of course apparently this generates a lot of heat.
