And I don't believe that all EU products have to conform to "EU standards." This is a make work project. Let countries build their own widgets and the market will decide who is in for the long term

This shows a lack of knowledge about how, in a global market, and where setting up a production line is very expensive, products are designed and manufactured. It doesn`t actually make any difference whether we`re in the EU or out of it, British manufacturers will make one type of product for all markets. The fact we may not be in the EU will just mean the major manufacturers will have to research what is required by EU countries (as opposed to being told what is required), and then manufacture a product suitable for the EU market, and ours as well, in that order.

You poor poor thing.

You actually believe that? And take it emotionally I presume.

Come, I'll give you a hug, wrap you in blanket and get you some coco.

Now don't worry your little head, adults will handle this.

All you need to do is stop poisoning your mind with far left propaganda.

The more far left shouts and more you listen more ground is lost to far right.

Neither of those is any good.

We have enough of our own problems, we don't need to import any more.

Vote was to handle our own problems by our own parliament, that is it.

We voted to remove that overgrown bureaucratic tumour from our back.

If you want to help refugees just sign up to some charity or something.

Or figure out why they are coming here, who fuels war in middle east and who gives money to extremists.

Hint is - follow the money. Petrodollars to be more specific.

Indeed /QUOTE]

Cool poem, but you realise that a lot of the far left wanted to brexit too?

but that is done by far left.

Just this week council clerks demanded right to enter properties - just like police when they suspect criminal activity.

And crime that could be committed is homeschooling.

Far left want to take your children from you so you can no longer decide about their education. Now I might not be an expert on that, but when country becomes more communist parents have to say less about their children. And remember that when far left goes far enough they go in circles becoming far right. Like for example National Socialist German Workers' Party.

No, she is making those policies. EU is run by soviet committee or whatever you call it.

EU policies are made by non elected non accountable commissars. Oh, sorry those are called commissioners now.

Yeah I do believe it.

Let's face it immgrants are just the latest target.

We've had the poor.

We've had the disabled.

Benefits claimants.

Immigrants.

What group is next on the list?

Cool. Bring it on. 48% is not the small minority they are used to beating up on.

It seems like you have an obsession with the far left tag. You do know that if you aren't a tory or a ukip or a brexit fan and you believe in having a welcoming, tolerant society it doesn't mean you're a hard line leftie? Right?

We have welcoming tolerant society. Already.

You don't have to believe in idea of it, you have to believe in reality of it.

If you believe we don't you are hard line leftie. Right?

There are 1000s of posts on this forum that make this look like 'double-standards' though, almost all by the remain side.

Doesn't bother me in here, I just come to chat and discuss things I like talking about, with like minded people, whatever side of the coin in any topic - but, I was actually shocked by this in real life scenario recently, when someone I've known for a long time but rarely see, said to me when I said I voted out, 'I can't believe you of all people would have believed that hype that this money [350m/wk] would go to the NHS if you won!'

He was then confused when I told him my stance which I've written in here that if I actually thought the government would spend 350m more on the NHS per week I would have voted remain.

I don't believe that calling out bigotry, racism and hate by right wingers is a bad thing.

Whether it's prejudice against the poor, the disabled, hard-working immigrants or whatever group I'm never going to stop.

Don't misunderstand though that doesn't mean I think all Brexiters are like that but some undoubtedly are, and they are making me ashamed of my country. I think we should all be ashamed of them.

I feel no more or less patriotic than before.

The majority did not want to be ruled by Germany in a dictatorship. We beat the Kaiser, we beat Hitler. The majority are not prepared to be ruled by unelected bureaucrats that we can't vote out. The reality is if you believe in democracy, then you accept the result and hope for a better future. If you are not prepared to accept the democratic wishes of the majority, and are ashamed of the country you live in, then it is best you make arrangements to live elsewhere, in a country you will not be ashamed of.
