Sheridan1-0 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 After last nights dramatic win..its onto Birmingham this weekend for the Sky game at 5.30pm. Another tough game in prospect..but Wednesday are just finding their feet now and a repeat of last seasons result at St Andrews would be great. I would imagine Loovens will be back in the side..but as for the rest of the 11 who knows...
green_man Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Brum have quite a decent old fashioned, no nonsense central defensive partnership in Ryan Shotton and Michael Morrison and they seem to have bounced back from the Wolves result...Three clean sheets on the bounce isn't bad going what so ever. I would think that Fletcher needs to carry on up top to go toe to toe with this two but it would probably be useful for you lot if FF started the game as well because all things said and done, he is still your greatest threat. One thing for sure it has the makings of a good game but Birmingham are capable and a steady all round team as they showed against Norwich therefore I wouldn't under estimate them.

Hotmale 1954 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Brum won't be looking forward to us going down there. Likewise, they are looking tidy this season, and it will be a difficult game for us. Maghoma is playing very well. He's been looking quite dangerous in their match highlights these past few weeks. There's a recently arrived ex-Blade in the squad as well, so we have to be on our metal as he could be extra fired up. We all know what could raise it's ugly head in this situation. If we're on our game, we should edge it though. Any weaknesses will be punished. Beware Donaldson. OOOOOeerr!
ukdobby Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Saw Magoma for Birmingham against us the other season,he was our best player, every pass went to an Owl. Well happy with a point, lets stay unbeaten as long as we can.
NERVY-OWL Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I'd never say any game is easy, supported Wednesday too long to ever think that:) not sure about this, like dobby says though maghoma was great for us last season but our defending has been very shakey so far and with his pace he could cause problems if he has more of an end product this season. Che is having a good start aswell so we'll need to keep him quiet. If we play like we did in the second half yesterday then we have every chance of a result
rogets Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Birmingham were a premiership team not too long ago so will still be dangerous They say although your dog is domesticated it is still a wolf by nature, and Birmingham although a Championship club are still by nature a premiership club as their players say I'm still premier league every night before bed Maybe a draw for Wednesday? 1-1
top4718 Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Our away form was not the best last season and I would expect us to beat Birmingham if it was a home game as its away I'll go for 1-1. I doubt we'll have too much to worry about with Maghoma.
rogets Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 Believe in the lord and your team will win

I've been watching football since 1957 and they have always been ordinary and what have they ever won ( yes League Cup v Arsenal) . The best side they had was in the early '70s when Trevor Francis and Bob Latchford etc were there and they weren't up to much then !
