taxman Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Inconsolable with grief. Never mind Brexit this is surely the worst thing to happen to Britain in years. BBC loses rights to Great British Bake Off Oh the humanity! Won't somebody please think of the children!!!? Any chance The Archers could be next?
Hashtag Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 who ever takes it on please don't let it be itv.
Funky_Gibbon Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 who ever takes it on please don't let it be itv. This has Ant and Dec written all over it. Not to fret though, I'm sure the BBC will fill the spot with another cheap and pointless waste of time.
slh73 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Going to Channel 4 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-37344292
ECCOnoob Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 If it has to go anywhere I am glad its at least Channel 4. They are generally the least commercially of the commerical broadcasters and not chasing the lowest common denominator all the time (i.e. ITV and C5 ). Still just a sign of pure greed from the production company.
smithy266 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Chanel 4? Thank goodness I do not watch C4.
tinfoilhat Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Chanel 4? Thank goodness I do not watch C4. You can't spell it either ;) I don't watch it, not my cup of tea. But sometimes shows are given a bit of oomph when they switch channels.
*_ash_* Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I think this is the one I watched last week (it was on in background but I did watch it to see what it was) I was amazed that this is prime time! What the heck?
canalforall Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 It's sad that the production team started to be SO MUCH GREEDY. I hate to watch good programmes on the channels with lots of adverts - they definitely lost viewers in our family and many of my friends. The programme was not only about good entertainment for millions but also about those millions who loved to watch it without stupid adverts breaks.

Watch it on 4ondemand (or what ever its called) - no ad breaks there. Out of curiosity, how does an ad break ruin a baking competition - not having a pop, just trying to get my head round it.
