Liam Fox MP, the International Trade Secretary, has stated that "British executives would rather play golf rather than export their goods and services". He told a reception for the Thatcherite group Conservative Way Forward that the UK had grown “too fat” on the successes of previous generations.

I agree there are too many lazy executives involved in British companies. The EU has been a breeding ground for laziness, which has resulted in British companies not seeking to trade with the rest of the World. It also goes without saying the EU has been a breeding ground for lazy politicians and perhaps laziness is a trait of those UK voters, who voted to remain in the EU and those who continue to moan about the outcome of the referendum

Thankfully more non lazy voters turned out to vote in the EU referendum and the UK are going to leave the EU. Those British companies run by non lazy executives have a brighter future than those run by lazy executives.

I do wonder what qualities these top directors have that gets them the big rewards.

Sports Direct have Keith Hellawell as a chairman, the former West Yorkshire Police chief constable. I could see why he might make a good security guard, but his skills as the ex-West Yorkshire Police chief constable are obviously wasted.

He used to be a coal miner, so I guess he has varied skills and from an hard working background.

That's the most boring thing I've ever read.

No actual fact. Just drivel.
