I want to build a couple of these:

 

I can get the rubber hockey puck (with a slot in it to fit car sill) from eBay. I just need the wood; would somewhere like B&Q be able to cut a beam of timber in to bits for me?

They should but try timber specialist on herries road ,timber will be a lot cheaper as well from them
