pmurtdlanod1 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Good news for Police officers in the Metropolitan police, that Spit hoods are now to be authorised along with many other police forces in the UK. they have a hard enough job restraining people without some dirty scrote spitting on them. apparently there were 43 cases of spitting at the recent Notting Hill carnival during the arrest and detaining of some dirty so and sos. a number of police were treated with anti infection drugs for wilful bodily fluid contact. at least now they can put a hood on someone. mind you according to the jeremy vine show just now Amnesty international are up in arms as its a breach of human rights?? and oppressive:suspect::roll: no surprise there then, thoughts???
rudds1 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 In America the police just pull the offenders top over the offenders head if it's a male offender ,seems to do the job ok

So those at Notting Hill carnival would have been charge with assault?
Santo Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 So those at Notting Hill carnival would have been charge with assault? Yes, spitting on someone is assault.
Berberis Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Spit hoods and hogtied should do the trick. The problem is generally not the offender, but others who get in the way or try to stop the police from doing their job. It becomes 10x hard for a couple of officers to arrest someone who is trying to escape when there are people trying to impeded their efforts. Usually drunk people. Anyone who tries to stop an officer from carrying out his or her duty should also be arrested. It seems people have no respect for the Police anymore.

geared Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I'm not sure the general public give two craps about Orgreave to be honest, it's probably time people let that one die.
