Skink Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 We don't trust our GSD around sheep and have been looking for nice off lead walks without any furry playmates Any suggestions? Sheffield or nearby Derbyshire would be great
teeny Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 wyming brook is sheep free which is just past lodgemoor lovely walk
vwkittie Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 There are miles of trails through greno/wharncliffe/deepcar woods without any sheep so long as you avoid the Chase and the Heath at the top (which have a lot of sheep but are fenced off so if you stick to the woods themselves you're ok).
Skink Posted August 31, 2016 Author Posted August 31, 2016 thanks folks forgot about Wyming Brook - lovely spot just up the road from us, shady too in hot weather we did a walk around Bakewell today and it was hopeless, every field had sheep / cows / llamas (really!). And then we got to Bakewell Park only to find out dogs arent allowed off lead between 11 and 4pm - grumpy pooch yesterday we did Endcliffe park up the valley to the cafe and that was good - met quite a few dogs but most were friendly
