Looking for a kitchen to rent for homemade food business

I am planing to open a home-made food business in Sheffield and looking for a standard kitchen to rent for 1 to 2 days a week as my current kitchen has a limited space, if anyone knows any information, I will be very appropriated if you could pass to me, many thanks

As you will already know the FSA and the council have rules that apply in mostly the same way to all food establishments big, small, amateur or professional.

 

Unfortunately hiring another domestic premises really complicates things as many of the rules and regulations, liability and the Law apply to the owner and any users of the place where you want to hire.

 

FSA guidelines, requirements and Law.

 

Effectively a domestic kitchen used in making food/drink for others, must have separate storage areas, usually distinct preparation areas and distinct personal hygiene areas.

 

All of which makes using another domestic kitchen very difficult.

Ignoring the rules and the law puts everyone at risk.

 

One solution might be to hire a kitchen associated with a pub, club etc..

I know people do it but I don't know what rules say about it.
