Connelly   10 #1 Posted August 12, 2016 Hello Sheffield: I plan on visiting Sheffield in mid October. Apparently my great grandfather lived on Cross Turner Street in the 1860's. I'm on a quest to locate my great grandfather's son's birth or baptismal record( my grandfather. Have been looking websites, but not finding any success. Any ideas regarding Roman Catholic churches on or near Cross Turner Street? Looking forward to the trip in any case. Also plan on visiting Liverpool, Manchester and Bath. best, Kerry Connelly
 Share this content via...

Connelly   10 #3 Posted August 12, 2016 Moira: Thank you for responding. My grandfather's name was Thomas Edward Connelly. Born on or about March 1, 1868. His parents were James Dominic Connelly and his mother was Theresa or Teresa (nee. Hanlon) Connelly. The spelling of Connelly may have changed over the years. best, Kerry
 Share this content via...

Connelly   10 #7 Posted August 13, 2016 Thank you. I have his death certificate that indicates Liverpool as the place of birth. I have been checking the central library records. To complicate the issue is that the obituary in the paper indicates he was born in Dublin, Ireland. His family lived in worked in both Sheffield and Manchester so I'm not ruling those as possibilities. Thank you again.
 Share this content via...
