Gliders over S5, shiregreen

Gliders seen over shiregreen area, probably perving over me sunbathing. Question is, where would they start off from?

They've been over Stannington and Rivelin as well. Probably the same one you saw.

 

As for where they start from I think its some cliff at Derbyshire.

I saw them when I was out in the city centre this afternoon - about 5 of them!

Are they allowed to fly over the city? I know there is a lot of wind, so they could have got here off the Peaks, but my word, that is a pretty risky landing-spot, 50 odd square miles of buildings, phone wires, busy roads and not many clear fields?
