Wouldn't it need to be sandblasted? Shot might be a bit severe for a bike frame.

It might be more cost effective to get it powder coated at the same place too.

You're right....Most shotblasting cabinets would be far too severe...Sandblast or shot peened (glass balls)...and it's definitely a good idea to get it powder coated at the same time...

I've been looking into this as I want some bits of my car powder coating ... bumpers, wheels, engine cowling, light bar, seat frames etc.

I went to visit Two Brothers Coatings Company (Ball Street, off Rutland Road) who specialise in such work. They seem pretty friendly and know what they're doing. Prices are reasonable too ... I'll be using them.

Just trying to find someone who does yellow zinc passivation and bright zinc plating now.
