I never gamble myself but Grosvenor Casino, Queens Road often have quite good live entertainment on Saturday nights about 10pm, all ages. Take your ID though.

I'm over 45 and I go out most evenings. Depends what you consider "a good night out?".

For me that would include nice surroundings, good quality food and drinks, and nice people. My definition of nice people are

1 Clean and of good appearance (hair, teeth, nails, shoes)

2 Good manners (polite and know how to hold a knife and fork properly)

3 Good conversation (don't have to be super-intelligent - but ability to have an understanding of what is going on in the world and hold a reasonably intelligent conversation is appreciated)

4 Good humour (able to take and make a joke)

5 Look after themselves (keeps themselves in reasonable shape - not in love with their appearance, but not some fatty couch potato either)

6 Comfortable with people who may not speak in a broad Sheffield accent (most folks around here seem to think you are "posh" if you speak properly eh?)

7 Warm and friendly (preferably tactile too)

8 High sex drive (or having an interest in developing one)

I should add that I am happily married - because I found someone who ticked all the above boxes.
