I would recommend Piccolos on west street: 2495040

They usually have italian music rather than classical, but the atmosphere is lovely and the food is outstanding (italian) They have another room upstairs if you want to be more cosy.

try stanza romana on chesterfield road just down from the little police building.

its italian and very romantic,and above all i know the owner/chef/waitress.

excellent food and decent prices.as its italian he doesnt do classical im afraid.

 

tell them darren recormended you.

Martini's on London Road is ace, it's an Italian Restaurant, cheap(ish) grub, very nice atmosphere, perfect.

I got took there for a birthday and it was lovely, I was so impressed with him, I felt like right posh and it is a 10 min taxi ride from town center so u can always go for a few drinks and a dance after.
