oasismark   10 #1 Posted July 14, 2016 Long shot but.....  Any 90's Britpop tribute bands need a singer guitarist?    I play in a 80's band on Saturdays, but 90's is my music, any 90's bands need a singer/guitarist?  oasis, stone roses, charlatans, shed seven etc.  Sheffield based, Chapeltown area.  I'm early 40's, so lived the 90's. oasismark   10 #10 Posted July 22, 2016 I though we was all local from last time.  Ill be straight up. I play in a WMC band almost every saturday, (https://www.facebook.com/biginjapanuk), I work Mon - Fri, i have 2 kids and the mrs. and a tiny social life lol.  What im saying is my time for this will be restricted. So id say i could practice once a week. (probably couldn't do any more, and any less you lose interest) and any gigs....well lets not get too far ahead.  What i'd like to do is something like these lads.  http://www.marquisdrive.com/  Ive seen them up at Mosborough Festival and they are top of their game. Song choice they are spot on. To get anything close to them id be happy.  Thoughts?
 Share this content via...
matthew_h   10 #11 Posted July 23, 2016 I'm definitely up for that. I've been playing a few songs by the Roses, the La's, the Coral and the like at the Castle Jam on a Sunday. I've been thinking about how to do Charlatans songs without organs for a while too. Certainly think that there is scope for sorting out a great playlist of tunes.  I was in the Leadmill last night for The Enemy and the crowd were going mad singing along to tunes before the bad came on. Stuff like Kasabian, Verve etc.
 Share this content via...
oasismark   10 #12 Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) That's a good idea. Mixing old school indie from 90's with new britpop influenced bands like Kasabien & Arctic Monkeys  ---------- Post added 28-07-2016 at 12:42 ----------  You guys still up for this?  Gone quiet  Im away on hols in August, but want to get stuck into this when i get back.
