You need to get the network to do it, they don't usually charge very much.

As geared says it is best to get it unlocked through Vodafone as it will be officially be unlocked by Apple doing it through Vodafone.

IF you know the previous owner get him to take it back were he bought it from cost under £10 // beware anyone who says they can unlock it on forum. Voda phone will unlock it for him as it will be redgistered to him keep away from phone shops as well. // IFyou dont know previous owner phone vodaphone but they may want you to have an a/c hence previous owner

We offer unlocking services and it's done officially through Vodafone servers but charge a fraction of what Apple charge.

 

Agree, be careful of anyone promising to do it privately.

For future reference, for everyone... your Mobile network will usually unlock for Free, after the contract period has ended, or after 1 year on PayG

If the phone was purchased 2nd hand, you only need a sim card of the original network, and then contact them to get it done!
