There's a lot of money to be saved in the public sector not related to providing public services. Every new Conservative PM comes in intending to fix that but they rarely manage it. Maybe Gove can do better.

I might be over egging the pudding a tad but there is real chance of very right wing Tory government with no opposition at all and no EU handbrake to stop them doing some really daft things.

I agree, the main reason for leaving the EU was the large numbers of immigrants, the very department that May was in charge of. You couldnt make it up

No. They're referring to ranking by total GDP rather than per capita as it's an estimate of influence and clout.
