banjodeano   31 #373 Posted July 1, 2016 4m people voted UKIP last election. Many are ex-Labour voters. What do you think JC has done that will make them come back? He is far too left wing. He has distasteful friends and he has stated he will never use our nuclear arms. That dissuades many.  He will not win a majority next election. He can't even keep the party together now.  Jeremy has touched a nerve, people are sick of living in austerity whilst the billionaires pay no or very little tax, people see there is a big divide in this country and want change. Corbyn far too left wing? lol jesus, how old are you? was you around in the 70's? i would say he is far from deserving of the title far left. distasteful friends= media bull**** for the gullible, as for keeping the party together, they were never together, from the start they said they would get him out, if they had played ball, then the party would be well in front on the polls, its going to take a long time, but i believe Corbyn will turn the party back to its socialist roots
 Share this content via...

If you don't, then I'm sure there are plenty who do. Socialism is a nice fluffy, cuddly idea that doesn't work. If it worked, it would have some noteworthy advantage over the capitalist/social democratic compromise which dominates western politics. But it doesn't work. Really it doesn't. There's no point even discussing whether it would be better if it worked, because it doesn't work. Not even a little.  These billionaires who don't pay their taxes. I presume you mean that they pay less tax as a percentage than you would like? Or less than you and me? I find it unlikely that a UK resident with say a 8 figure income is not paying 7 figure taxes. You sure you want to get rid of them? Edited July 1, 2016 by unbeliever
 Share this content via...

Do you think that draws many back from UKIP? Edited July 1, 2016 by Radan
 Share this content via...

Radan   10 #379 Posted July 1, 2016 probably...  Hence why I said, 'are you high?'  I wasn't trying to be mean. He's a decent bloke. But unelectable. IMHO.
 Share this content via...

Quik   10 #381 Posted July 1, 2016 Corbyn is toast, the problem is that he's the only one who can't see it. Angel1.  To be fair Seamus Milne seems blinder to it than Corbyn who I suspect would have gone by now if it wasn't for that utter belter telling him to cling on. My point is he doesn't offer enough people what the want to stand any chance of forming a majority government.  You have conceded yourself his immigration policy will cost him voters. So will his nuclear stance etc etc.
 Share this content via...
