Yes, not so much to the gang itself but it is racist to innocent Pakistani who have nothing to do with this and are now labelled in our unconscious minds by what we read about this gang.

Myself and friends hung around Skelleys bridge as this place was known when we were kids in the 1970s. The police have no excuse whatsoever for not fully investigating any problem down there. There are many vantage points to watch from or place a camera etc. Back in the day you would not wish to bump into a copper down Skelleys we would have to run. The worst we got up to though was graffiti.

When I was very little and during my whole education I was taught that adolf hitler was a german.

Now it was programmed in my unconscious mind that all germans were somehow related to this.

 

It is very difficult to use the race labels on a small group or gang without indirectly poisoning the identity of the whole race.

I understand what you are saying, and do agree with you on some levels.

 

However, the Germans were responsible for letting Hitler gain power, and not acting to remove him.

 

If a group of males of a particular ethnic minority want to attack members of public that are not of the same minority, then they have made a race issue. Perhaps the other members of their community who will be affected by racial stereotyping need to deal with it.

 

Being an apologist for those innocent members of their community is cowardly and anti social towards everyone else.
