How do i get rid of chickweed in veggie patch ?

My veggie patch is covered in chickweed. For obvious reasons i don't want to use any chemicals, so i just keep pulling it out, but it just keeps on coming back & spreading

Any ideas ?

It's a dreadful nuisance isn't it? We have the same issue in our garden and it just a constant battle...the only thing I can suggest is trying to pick it before it flowers and sets seed

It's very edible. Used to be sold in markets back in the old days. Tasty and tender as it is, but can be blanched like spinach and used in the same way.

I got some from my friend's garden. I dressed it with chopped garlic, salt and olive oil, it tasted nice.
