My friend a sole trader use Chughtaii accountants on attercliffe road sheffield..

 

they are affordable.

chamber of commerce have a free service for advice and then you could do your own without paying money out to have your accounts ratified.

I've been to one of the sessions there - it's really useful in terms of getting a better understanding of tax and what not.

Having just done my first 'proper' tax return sans accountant, I found it a good place to get the basics. I nerded up on a lot of sole-trading made easy type books too.
