Recommended Posts

What is wrong with money, and how can we fix it?

Mon 23rd May, 7.30-9:00pm, Quaker Meeting House, St. James St. S1 2EW

This public event brings together speakers from three different Sheffield groups, all campaigning in different ways for economic justice

* Rob Shearing (Sheffield Money) explains how this organisation, developed from a Council initiative, is helping the financially excluded citizens of Sheffield

* Peter Verity (Sheffield Positive Money group) will give a short introduction to Positive Money - a campaign to create a money and banking system that works for society and not against it

* Louis Read (Sheffield Pound) explains the arguments for, and the progress towards a local currency for Sheffield

Free entry, but donations requested (suggested £3) to cover costs.
