Feeder Fishing Advise

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just hoping some of you kind folk can point me in the right direction. I’m just trying to get back into fishing after a rather lengthy break. i'm currently fishing up at loxley. I’ve always float fished as that’s the only way I know how, however I now want to get adventurous and try out feeder fishing.

Can anyone advise me on some basic rigs and what equipment I will need to make them. Is there any preferred websites that provide instructions. I’ve also seen pre-made feeder rigs should I look at these or make my own.

Can anyone also recommend a suitable feeder rod that doesn’t break the bank.

O yeah last but not least what type of feeder.

Thanks

Ben

If you fishing mixed commercial lake I would go with in line feeder’s ether a method feeder or maggot or both fish a hook length of 4 inch… there’s lot of feeder rod on the market costing from £30- 200

I use a Drennan specialist rod it a bit like an Avon rod the gives me the 2 rod in 1 a 1.5 t/c section for carp, chub, bream and they do say it can be used with a pellet waggler float . And a feeder section with a 1.2.3 tips there around £60 -£80 if you shop around this rod covers me for 90% of my fishing from commercial and rivers like the Trent

If you can get hold of last month’s improve your coarse fishing magazine it was dedicated to feeder fishing showing you different rigs and feeders
