Postmortem.

No one dies in Skarnes.

An almost comic version of Glitch.

6 part, easily watchable nonsense.

Un-dead, Drinkers of Blood & a town where not enough people die to keep the local undertaker in business.

you could watch worse.

Keep safe.

Paris Police 1900 - BBC4 & i player (8parts)

Strange mixture of fact & Fiction.

Dark, gritty and plausible rewrite of French History that works.

Atmospheric filming, clothing, characters and debauchery throughout.

Would be easy to pick fault with some of the continuity but it's French and subtitled so!

Expertly done & well worth binging on.

Keep safe 🧐

Only Murders In The Building   -  (Disney+ with Hulu)

Great 10 part comedy murder mystery starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez as fans of true crime podcasts living in the same building who come together to investigate the murder of another tenant in their posh New York apartment building and create their own podcast about it.

Steve Martin plays a former actor who was famous in the early 80s for playing a Kojak-like TV police detective, Martin Short is an eccentric theatre producer who's had a string of epic failures on and off Broadway and Selena Gomez is a snarky millennial renovating her aunt's apartment.

Billion Dollar Code.

The true story of the brothers who invented (10 years before) what went on to be Google Earth.

This 4 part mini series on Netflix may sound as if it's only for the 'geeky computer buff'.

But you'd be completely wrong!

Interesting & Excellently filmed with a Excellent story line & characters.

Can the common man beat the big boys in court?

What do you think?

As a bonus there is also a  28 min 'Making of Billion Dollar Code featuring some of those really involved.

Fully Recommended.

Foundation
Asimov's seminal series, produced by Apple TV.
An odd mix of the dull and the wonderful, I ended up FF about half of each episode. 6/10

Invasion
Apple TV

'Earth is visited by an alien species that threatens humanity's existence'.
Sam Neill, big budget, what could go wrong? Nothing much seems to happen. 2/10

Have you tried 'Alice in Borderland' on Netflix ?

Very similar. I thought it was a lot better than Squid games.

Show's yer.

Only watched 2 of 'Invasion' so far, but enjoying the interaction with so many separate story lines taking place and enough held back to make you wonder where things are going.

'Foundation' a little predictable to an extent but, enough originality to make it something I thought was worth watching.

Would be a terrible place if we all enjoyed / disliked the same things.

Just had 4 days in a caravan with 4 grandkids. The only thing that would send them all to sleep was Downton Abbey. Worked every night 😀  .

I, on the other hand, enjoyed every second.  Good to wallow in again.

Locke and Key 2.

Netflix.

10 part strange as strange supernatural horror series.

The Locke family continue their fight to rid their home (The Key house) of Damon's using & even making new (magical) keys in the progress.

Rambling mansion's with round towers, peaked roofs, verandas,  grand staircases, paneled walls  and more rooms than you could ever use, work for me every-time (Lottery's on so one day 🙏

Even with more going on in Series 2  there is something lacking throughout, good job the ending pulls everything back together.

Good news. Looks like a series 3 is in the offing.

Series 2 ends, not so much open as some do but with a good reason for the story to continue.

Excellently filmed, characters you will love or hate and a story line that is quirky enough to be original (ish).

Worth watching.

Y the Last man.

Midnight mass.

Midnight Mass.

Definitely worth watching.

Praised by Stephen King & hailed as the best TV adaptation of the 'book he never wrote'.

I'm lost with that one .

Excellent well filmed and a more than thought provoking ending - BUT -.

Hardly an original story & Stephen King would only have been plagiarising Bram Stoker's Dracula if he had :nono:.

Y the Last Man.

Excellent apocalyptic no more men (apart from one & his monkey) TV series.

Sadly a victim of Covid and ends, or doesn't in this instance .

Lots of calls for the thing to be continued especially from Stephen king.

Lots of intrigue throughout, who's going to run the country now all the men have gone?

Keeping Yorik Brown (Who's Mother just happens to be the new president :suspect:) alive by a personal special forces body guard, a geneticist and others they encounter on the way makes for plenty of action throughout.

(Although, where you thought he'd be in demand, he doesn't get any of it )

The Non ending does spoil the hours you've spent watching it .

Hopefully a second series will be forthcoming.

Would be nice if they could re-start the excellent comic 'the Last man on earth' series with Will Forte & the brilliantly kooky Kristen Schaal, while there at it .

Same story just a hell of a lot more laughs .

Keep safe out there

Showtrial. Iplayer

5 parts,

We enjoyed this & fully recommend.

Lots of twists and turns as you'd expect, in fact more than you would think from a courtroom drama.

Who's telling the truth?

Only one way to find out!

Keep safe 8)

Very reminiscent of a well known case,

but i'll leave it to you, to decide which one 🧐
