Rockers rule 673 #637 Posted August 9, 2021 The article I read saying Blacklist 9 was being filmed is no longer there. Probably more than down to anticipation Cori V would have disappeared by now. I'm still waiting for Mr Kaplan to come back, she could have easily carried the organisation on. Fringe, although we watched them all and I know there's quite a few on here are avid fans, I personally just couldn't get on with it, Too far fetched Me and HTSBO have just watched all 3 series of Absentia. Started off well, simmered down, picked itself up and (spoiler) ends with a none ending ready for a 4th series. (i hope not - it's run it course let it be) Suckers for punishment we've just watched the 10 part Dystopia (2018) (well Mrs Rocker did - I fell asleep midway through at least two of them) Set in the future where babies are no longer born because of a government tracking system implant. (don't tell Boris) portrayed as a life saving cure for cancer. The quest is on to return to the past to stop those responsible for its implementation. Nothing new here, constantly switches back Ground Hog day style leaving you with the old 'if you went back in time would you kill Hitler & if you did would someone worse take over,' ya di ya. definitely one to miss Keep safe and binge responsibly
 Share this content via...
Guest #638 Posted August 9, 2021 Spiral If you're a Line of Duty fan, then strongly suggest you watch this- not police corruption entirely, but a very good police series. It is a French series which was hugely successful when aired. Currently all 8 seasons available on BBC IPLAYER.
 Share this content via...
Rockers rule 673 #639 Posted August 10, 2021 Just binged (the new) season 3 of 'Ghosts'. OK I know its not rip-roaring'ly funny & you certainly won't find extraordinary special effects but there is an innocence in the humor dating back to some of the Ealing comedy's or even a vague nod in the direction of the Carry on films. Good clean fun, No Rat a Tat Tat of Machine Guns but moments to laugh along with. Keep safe, Binge responsibly
 Share this content via...
Rockers rule 673 #640 Posted August 14, 2021 Mare of Easttown . Not quite sure what to make of this. Enjoyed it to a certain extent. Story line tended to flatten out in places. Lots of intrigue, infidelity, and misdirection that sort of hides the final twist. Worth watching - Yes. Over Hyped - Yes Riveting - not exactly. Not unlike Manifest as in it has a plane going missing (series 1) but there the similarity ends. Influenced no doubt with the disappearance of flight MH370 plenty of intrigue and clever twists. Definitely worth watching. Series 2 similar probably too similar but centered around a train derailment. Again lots of intrigue, twists and turns. Well acted throughout including a very poignant last scene with Christopher Plummer. RIP. Schmigadoon A Musical Parody of 'Brigadoon' & daft enough to be watchable. Excellent scenery, Period Costumes and tongue in cheek humour throughout without the Rat a Tat Tat of Machine Guns Enjoy.
 Share this content via...

top4718 838 #643 Posted August 16, 2021 Watched The Missing with James Nesbitt, its good but stretching things a bit with 8 episodes. Currently on the second episode of the recent Time, Sean Bean is excellent in it.
 Share this content via...

Rockers rule 673 #646 Posted August 19, 2021 Netflix. The Defeated (aka) Shadow play Started watching this some time ago till for some reason we could no longer access sub titles. No problem now Netflix have it. Set in post WW2 Berlin where the French, English, American & Russians all want a part of the City, an American Cop is on two missions, one to find out who is killing Ex Nazis and two finding his (troubled) elder Brother. Black-marketeers, Espionage & plenty of Rubble throughout alongside a great set of characters to follow. Excellent first series and definitely worth watching. tinfoilhat 11 #647 Posted August 29, 2021 Loki. Smashing production values, hints of Fallout 3 but I wasn't overly impressed. Nice to see Owen Wilson off the settee and doing proper telly, and I like Sophia de Martino. Lots of time travel/timeline stuff but the umbrella academy does that sort of thing much much better. 7/
 Share this content via...
Guest #648 Posted August 31, 2021 (D)evil's Throat: Djavolskoto Garlo Bulgarian mystery series currently showing on E4. Surprising good and doesn't get boring.
