E4 have it on weekday evenings at 11pm (the Beeb originally showed it at 6 in the evening) Used to be very popular, seems a bit odd to put it on so late, perhaps they consider the target audience are now in their 30's? Jody Comer is the stand out again but the rest of the cast were also great, particularly Fiona Shaw. Huge thumbs up to the costume department, kick in the shins for the sound editor - although a bit of an improvement on the last series. 'Killing Eve' & 'Upload' Totally agree - Killing Eve, what was with the sound? forever having to turn the volume up or down or me and Her That Should Be Obeyed looking at each other and asking "what did they say?" Dasha was my fav character (Harriet Walter) for some reason - well acted craggy, hard as nailz, psychopath - loved it. 'Upload', 10 part thing that was HTSBO's idea we watch. I wasn't too sure about it at first. An alternative to facing the vagueries of relying on 'an after life' in the year 2033 there's no need to worry you can be "Uploaded" into a 'Virtual Afterlife'. Even knowing it was going to be a comedy the thought of it was a little Deep for me, BUT - It works, & I ended up enjoying the thing. The characters are Annoying or likeable with great acting throughout. Strange Science fiction piece of nonsense that works well. 2nd series in the pipeline but this one ended well leaving you wanting more. Fully Recommend. I'm going to agree in that with you. Wrapped up season 4 and it was not the best of the lot, but still satisfying. Just think they tried to squeeze too much in to end the series *spoiler alert* with neo nazis, a serial killer, the ongoing saga with Kai Proctor and the search for Job (the hacker). Anyway it leaves with a closure for eveyone, which I liked.
 Share this content via...

It's difficult to pin down why, Peaky Blinders for example does many things better, sex, loads of violence, excellent soundtrack - all with a bigger production budget. But Banshee is just better. I'm giving it another go tonight...
 Share this content via...
wearysmith 141 #461 Posted June 4, 2020 The 2nd series of 'Dead To Me' was marvellous. Did it in three sittings. I know I said at the end of the first series they shouldn't make another - but I was wrong. This one was just as intense. Nail-bitingly cringey and VERY amusing in parts. Christina Applegate's character was written as even more waspish and hard than last series, but a serious streak of vulnerability was introduced at just the right point in the storyline. Linda Cardellini's lesbian thread played out convincingly. They fooled me. I reckoned everyone viewing could see what was galloping over the hills except her. Wrong! Standard of writing was even better than the first series. More inventive. So....this time.....don't stop it here. Where to after the...…… No, spoilers....😀. Thandie Newton and Evan Rachel Wood both superb. Killing Eve. Also finished that. Jody Comer is the stand out again but the rest of the cast were also great, particularly Fiona Shaw. Finished Killing Eve, hopefully they'll not do another series, it's completely run its course. The standout episodes in this series were the 4th and 5th episodes, maybe because they had a lot less of Eve in them. The programme reached its peak with series 1 episode 3 in Berlin when she kills Bill. That act also meant it was completely implausible that Eve could ever forgive Villanelle. Currently watching series 4 of Cardinal and wondering how I missed the first three series.
 Share this content via...

I'm now going to look to watch series 2. The main lead, Billy Campbell, was the fella who played The Rocketeer back in 1990s. wearysmith 141 #464 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) Not exactly 'binge-viewing', but I did watch all of these in one fell-swoop last night. 'must-see' if you're a Dr Who supporter. They were all great. Happy that they could reunite Amy & Rory and Bill & Nardole. I didn't expect that end to the red-balloon-girl story either. Favourite was perhaps the Novice Hame clip. Missed opportunity; where was Capt Jack? I'm sure Barrowman would have been up for something. Rockers rule 673 #465 Posted June 9, 2020 Defending Jacob. Her That Should Be Obeyed (HTSBO) has been watching this but as my computer is in the same room I've been watching it by default. For me - very (a little at least) drawn out, twist's and turns all over the place some of them so obvious (to me anyway) but overall not bad, Worth watching, good chance there's another series in the pipe line but saying that the ending wasn't that bad. If you like murder mystery, crime drama's it does have a few nice twists to finish on and probably not as bad as I've made it out to be. Enjoy. Guest #466 Posted June 15, 2020 Gomorrah seasons 1-3 I don't know how I missed this when it was airing on Sky- luckily for the boxsets I've caught up and look to start season 4. This is by far one of the best tv series I've seen and probably up there with The Godfather, in terms of the intensity and storytelling. Funky_Gibbon 42 #467 Posted June 15, 2020 Fringe seasons 1-5 Finally finished rewatching this brilliant series. Trying to decide what to watch next... down to a choice of Penny Dreadful or Spiral. Also, not really binge watching as it's a weekly series but quite enjoying the Snowpiercer TV series on Netflix.
 Share this content via...

Penny dreadful started really well, last series not so much. And Fringe was brilliant and works really well when binged.
