billigoat   10 #1 Posted April 25, 2016 I'm needing to buy some good quality plastic storage boxes. They need to withstand fairly heavy loads and being lifted in and out of a car several times a week- without breaking and cracking within a few weeks. I know I need to spend more than a couple of quid - but am not sure where to get such an item locally. The ones I've bought from Poundstretcher and Dunelm aren't sturdy enough. Any ideas? tinfoilhat   11 #2 Posted April 25, 2016 eBay if you don't them mind them second hand. There is firm in Sheffield that makes but I can't remember the name. I'll dig it out.
 Share this content via...
geared   302 #3 Posted April 25, 2016 It sounds like you want the kinda boxes that the supermarket home delivery people use.  You can get the tray type like this:  http://www.plastor.co.uk/catalog/euro-stackingnesting-containers/stacking/nesting-maxinest  or a box with interlocking lid:  http://www.plastor.co.uk/catalog/attached-lid-containers-/-plastic-crates  Screwfix do some stuff without lids, they have 3 stores in Sheffield:  http://www.screwfix.com/c/storage/storage-boxes/cat831548?cm_sp=managedredirect-_-storageladders-_-storageboxes
 Share this content via...

Any ideas?  I saw some in Macro the other day. About 1 foot by 2 foot by 1 foot deep. They came with a Dexion type shelving unit. Bins had lids. I think the deal was something like 12 bins plus shelving unit for £28 or thereabouts.
 Share this content via...

corkyballs   10 #7 Posted April 25, 2016 Have a look for 'Really Useful Boxes'  Their advert a few years ago had a Mini stood on top of 4 of their boxes. I've had some for years for all our camping and fishing equipment and they really are tough.  eg http://www.viking-direct.co.uk/catalog/catalogSku.do?id=84CCB&PR=QCA&cm_mmc=Google-_-pla_gen_google-shopping_storing-and-archiving-_-storing-and-archiving-_-84CCB&s2m_channel=544&_%24ja=tsid:34770|cid:242834777|agid:16600085657|tid:pla-91765221497|crid:55356846017|nw:g|rnd:12811524110953025789|dvc:c|adp:1o1&gclid=CjwKEAjwgPe4BRCB66GG8PO69QkSJAC4EhHhUtkddCMU93b2rkXuo8Yj56V-KZJVSSFP8JzSdSsIIBoCxtLw_wcB
 Share this content via...
