Guest   #1 Posted April 18, 2016 I draw and paint pictures which I take photographs of and upload to my computer. I need the highest resolution images possible. I have mixed results taking photographs as the light conditions need to be right, which they invariably aren't, and I don't have a proper professional camera.  The scanners to buy in my price range are only for A4 size, but I use A3 and bigger.  Is there anywhere I can go to scan my pictures and put the images onto my USB stick? Having said that, you need to know what you're doing and have some pretty clever equipment (lenses, polarising filters, daylight bulbs etc). I use a professional photographer who, handily for me, just happens to be a professional printer too. He does all my giclee prints using archive quality inks and paper which are the finest quality printing I've seen. The colour matching is unbelievably close.  Standard scanners are useless, never had much luck with more professional ones either.
