Surely the sensible option would have been to let the United bus parade run in the evening, AFTER the traffic is cleared and when more people can go along to watch. This council instead chose to inflict misery on the motorist and more pollution on the environment.
 Share this content via...

That would have been sensible, anyway, look forward to the relegation party, same time next year................
 Share this content via...

No doubt if it was Leeds they would have moved look north and calendar an hour later and done special programmes to cover it.  I enjoy all this football rubbish however, especially when there is another world cup it means I can get around the supermarket in double quick time because all the football brain deads are drooling in front of their tv while they drink lager, eat crisps and shout instructions at the players because they think they are controlling the game. cosywolf   10 #66 Posted May 11, 2006 Your chance to have a say on traffic issues in Meersbrook, Heeley, Norton Lees:  Park Heeley Area Panel takes place on Tuesday 16th May, at Carrfield School, Argyll Road, from 7pm-9pm. It will be dealing specifically with traffic issues in the above mentioned areas. There will also be a talk by South Yorks Police on the Safer Neighbourhoods programme.  Requests have been made for representation from South Area Panel/Highways to answer questions about the Woodseats/Meadowhead/Chesterfield Road issues as well, as they impact strongly on the Meersbrook, Heeley, Norton Lees areas. Hopefully this will happen!
 Share this content via...
