Albert Green born 9 Aug 1893 Corporation road labourer. Ada Beatrice Green born 21 April 1897 Unpaid home duties. Record officially closed. Ernest Green born 14 May 1921 General labourer heavy work. Moirahyde 10 #4 Posted March 30, 2016 I have looked on both the 1901 and 1911 census, but there are a few Albert Green's born around the same time as your Albert. On the 'Free BMD' site, I found this marriage: Oct-Nov-Dec quarter 1915, Ref: Ecclasall B 9c 707. Albert Green to Ada B. Osborne. I think it might be a good idea if you order a copy of this certificate, as it will give you the name of Albert's father. ALBERT GREEN, son, 17yrs, General labourer, born Totley, Dby. Harold Green, son, 8yrs, born Totley,Dby. Herbert Green, son, 1yr, born Totley, Dby. Annie Green, dau, 2 months, born, Totley, Dby. 1901 census - Summer Lane, Totley, Dby. Charles Green, head, mar, 40yrs, General labourer, born Sheffield, Yks. Elizabeth Green, wife, mar, 38yrs, born Dore, Dby. Fanny Green, daur, 18yrs,born Dore, Dby. John W. Green, son, 16yrs, General labourer, born Dore, Dby. Frank Green, son, 14yrs, born Totley, Dby. Joseph Green, son, 10yrs, born Totley, Dby. ALBERT GREEN, son, 7yrs, born Totley, Dby. On the 1891 census the Green family are at New Row, Totley. Marriage at All Saints, Totley. 16 August, 1882. Charles Green,born abt. 1860, son of William to Elizabeth Gregory, born abt. 1862, daughter of Charles. Albert Green, baptised 18 Oct 1897, All Saints,Totley. Son of Charles and Elizabeth, labourer of Totley. (Late baptisms are not unusual). On the 1901 census, Beatrice Ada Osborne is with her parents John and Ada, at Lane Head, Totley. By 1911 they are at Summer Lane, Totley. Originally, Dore and Totley were in Derbyshire but eventually came under Yorkshire. If you Google 'Totley History Group' (Totley All Saints) you should be able to find more information including baptisms, marriages and burials. Tiger-lily 10 #7 Posted March 30, 2016 I can't thank you enough, I have tried to do family research but I really struggle with it and now my grandparents are dead but I found out a little from my grandma Alice green but she didn't know much but she did tell me her granddad was killed when the coal cart ran over him as he was delivering coal on the wybourn, he was moving the kids off the coal cart when the accident happened.
