herbiegrass   10 #2 Posted March 3, 2016 Hi, would it be Malcolm B Robinson age 16 died 1955. only one I could see on free BDM
 Share this content via...
hillsbro   32 #3 Posted March 3, 2016 Yes - Malcolm B. Robinson, born in Sheffield Jul-Sep 1939, parents perhaps Maurice Robinson and Lilian, née Barraclough, who were married in Sheffield Jan-Mar 1939.  There will most likely be a local press report, and the Local Studies Library (Surrey Street) will have Sheffield newspapers for 1955, though unless you have some idea of the date it might take time to find the article. Good luck!
 Share this content via...
Daven   10 #4 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) The best thing to do is to first send off for his death certificate https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate Enter the 'quarter' as September 1955 - volume 2d, page 41 Once you have actual date of death you will be able to find the report in the local newspaper within the Local History part of Central Library on Surrey Street. Good luck ! Edited March 3, 2016 by Daven
 Share this content via...

Anyway only three of the bedrooms were used as it was said that the other un used room was Robin's. We were told as kids that Robin was a boy that got knocked down and it was hid bedroom. Sounds far fetched I know but something was was off in that room.
 Share this content via...
