woah   10 #17 Posted February 28, 2016 They've given most stores a refurbishment with the newer Currys PC World branding - not the one in town though, makes sense if the store isn't making money.  The one at Heeley Retail Park is also left with the old branding (and looks pretty dated inside too), wonder if that store is at similar risk of closure. AmourDesign   10 #20 Posted February 28, 2016 People only go into Curry's to look around then go home to buy it cheaper online.
 Share this content via...
Fudbeer   12 #21 Posted February 29, 2016 The decision to open where they did was a poor one.  They got a very good rent deal but it is in a terrible location.  As stated Currys in now an out of town retailer with them now integrating the currys/pc world and carphones into one.  Dixons carphone does pretty well as a company these days they compete with online prices by selling you more profitable "add ons" like warrentys and software leads ect.  They have had a store in town for at least 40 years. JL94x4 Â Â 10 #22 Posted February 29, 2016 What, the dixons that disappeared in 2014? Â Dixons own Currys, PCWorld, Carphone Warehouse and manage all their call centers, its a seperate business than what Dixons (the store) was. haddy   10 #23 Posted February 29, 2016 Dixons own currys so they still exist. The Heeley one will be shutting at some point. There needs to be competing companies as they seem to do what they want and don't care about customers
 Share this content via...

Also, the supermarkets are doing a good job as well.
 Share this content via...
