It's that street that's on Google Maps, you know the one.

That whole block is being worked on at the moment. I did wonder if the tavern would be dropped, but good that it is staying, and even better if as a pub.

This is taken from Shoreham Street (near Leadmill area) and right at the top of the road is the Moor

That whole area is meant to be a Conservation Area isn't it?

Hard to tell since it's unrecognisable from 15 years ago.

Yes, I remember it looking like that. Hopefully it will do well.

I don't know Nagel if I agree with it being unrecognisable. Lots of old buildings have been done up around there, and really well.

sorry but I think your information is incorrect.

There's no planning application in the system from the last year for 100 Matilda Street, the address of the Matilda Tavern. You may have a seen a notice outside of the the MAtilda Tavern for one of other drinking establishment proposals in the area - either the microbrewery within the Sidney St development, or the restaurant and microbrewery in Geoff Hall carpets (14/03969/CHU)

I've been keeping an eye on the Matilda Tavern as I had an idea of reopening it. the owner never responded to my enquiries.

You must be joking, everything worth saving has been demolished.
