JFKvsNixon   11 #13 Posted February 20, 2016 It would be easier if we just banned the car. Just think of the sudden drop in accidents and how much more healthy everyone would be. The savings to the police and NHS would be huge. It wouldn't work though as we don't live in a totalitarian state.  How would the NHS get it staff or it's patients to the Hospital?  Sometimes I think that this forum is just one big joke to some, with people not taking it seriously and coming up with unworkable ideas. Eric Arthur   10 #16 Posted February 20, 2016 It's unworkable, mainly because of car worker unions, and why should the over 30's have to give up driving too?  Under 30's will be fine with hoverboards and the bus.
 Share this content via...
sgtkate   10 #17 Posted February 20, 2016 Do it! I'm over 30 and it'll seriously reduce the traffic.
 Share this content via...

Shogun   10 #19 Posted February 20, 2016 On a serious note the age of HGV licence has been dropped down to 18 a few years ago and I would say the quality of driving HGV has really gone down,,young drivers driving around on the motorways in c class trucks like idiots is all to plain to see, as a long time HGV driver I see it regularly dangerous driving do silly things like tailgating undertaking things I never did as an HGV driver.. JFKvsNixon   11 #21 Posted February 20, 2016 what about under 30s tractor drivers?  Could they wear false moustaches so they appear older than they actually are?
 Share this content via...
Eric Arthur   10 #22 Posted February 20, 2016 what about under 30s tractor drivers?  I was going to say that there won't be any but after reading the last post we clearly need to do something about the availibility of disguises because it's not right that young farmers should get away with it just because they know which hairy part of an animal to mount on their face. RonJeremy   10 #24 Posted February 20, 2016 We could just ban women from the road - that'd free up some space. And we'd all get out of junctions quicker.
 Share this content via...
