sgtkate   10 #3 Posted February 18, 2016 Could you put it through a wall instead? I've done that as only suitable place would have been patio doors and I wasn't prepared to put in a new pane of glass to accommodate it.  If you prefer it through the door I think you can get a replacement panel so avoiding you getting an entirely new door. zanna   10 #5 Posted February 18, 2016 Hi there,  yes id like to take the glass out and replace with a UPVC Panel but the question is how, I cant see how to remove the panel??? (See pics) Any ideas?  if not I think it might have to go on the front door as there is no outside wall that a flap would go... Thanks
 Share this content via...
Ghostrider   11 #6 Posted February 18, 2016 Just leave a small vent window open in the kitchen. Both my cats prefered it to the flap..
 Share this content via...

Thanks  I had to take the glass out of my front porch, because I bought a large sofa. There are removable clips at one side of the glass.
 Share this content via...

sgtkate   10 #10 Posted February 18, 2016 Just leave a small vent window open in the kitchen. Both my cats prefered it to the flap..  Can you secure it so it can't be opened to let a burglar in? If so, I guess this could be a solution but might also make the house pretty cool in winter months!
 Share this content via...
zanna   10 #11 Posted February 18, 2016 Unfortunately leaving a window open isn't an option as the only window is massive...  The door doesn't seem to have beading, just a black seal. I've taken a normal panel out before (like in the video) but I can't find how these windows are held in  ---------- Post added 18-02-2016 at 21:41 ----------  Have you got a pic of the other side of the door?  The outside looks exactly the same? No removable beading that I can find:confused:
 Share this content via...
doubletop   10 #12 Posted February 18, 2016 The door in the pic ,looks like aluminium not pvc , this would involve removing the sash from the door frame ,then unscrewing the sash to remove the glass ,
 Share this content via...
