Today we received a flyer about Apollo taxis. "Now you have a choice!" it says. "Your ex-local drivers and staff are back to give you that choice with a smile. Reliable and courteous service. WORKING UNDER A NEW FLAG."

 

Does anyone know about this?

You've answered your own question. They used to work for Local and now they work for Apollo!

They need to sort the online quotes!

Just done a quote from lowedges to the train station, and it's quoted me £293.50 (apparently the train station is 227 miles!!) checked the map to see what crazy route it platted and that was correct!!

 

Other than that, some decent competition would be good!!

I've just tried it and it came up with £8

 

Type in Cross Turner Street for the station. It could probably do with that being added as I wouldn't have thought many people know those little streets.

Their fare calc does need some work, DE6 2AA, or even Derby(shire) doesn't seem to exist.

On three occasions while using Mercury taxis I've had the drivers religious views put to me, one saying that I should kneel down and put my forehead on the floor 3 times a day for a month and I will feel o lot better. When I tried to send a email to the taxi company complaining that I don't need this crap, it bounced back, Don't use their company anymore.
