New to Sheffield (fishing)

Hi all

 

I will be moving to Sheffield in 4 week and have been looking at places to fish. Most of my fishing is float & feeder-trotting a stick float if I can find a river with a flow and a bit of spinning in the colder mouths for pike & perch I have looking on google for rivers - cannel and lake around Sheffield.

I like the look of Aston Park Fisheries.

Can Tinsley Canal around the mariner be fished?

Can anyone recommend a friendly fishing clubs?

If you like fishing the stick try the river Don. Loads of info online

The Don and Rother within the Sheffield area, a bit further afield is the Idle. The canal is worth a try with spinner.

The Marina is being worked on at the moment, talking to a bloke working there he said the work will be finished around March.

The fish have been moved into the Plumpers stretch from the Marina to Tinsley, the fish that were moved will have to work their own way back to the Marina.

Members only, but only £20 p.a. (plus joining fee for key). Safe, good parking next to most pegs. Roach, bream, perch, tench, carp, pike. Will be open for members again April/May.
