Talking about John Lennon, my favourite post Beatles song is Jealous Guy, also love Bryan Ferry's version Also love the Bee Gees, only one left now sigh. Queen - my favourite of theirs is Somebody to Love.

Yes, at that time they used to play the song at the end of the night and Graham would find me and take me home. It didn't last long but it was sweet while it lasted. :smile:

Remember the song and know what he looks like but was he a film star who had a hit song or vice versa? Way I look at age, and we are pretty close in that regard, I would guess, is that all the best wines and cheeses are at their best the older they get. There, now you know my defensive strategy against ageing, lol;)

He was a film star, every young girls dream, except he is actually gay. This reminds me of 2 other great records, Bobby Darins 'Dream Lover' and Sarah Vaughans 'Broken Hearted Melody'

Dream Lover brings back a lot of memories. Did you ever see that film about Bobby called Beyond the Sea? Kevin Spacey is amazing and does his own singing.

That's something I'd like to see! Bobby Darin's 'Beyond the sea/La Mer' is one of my favs. I couldn't pick one, so many already mentioned hit the spot, especially those on Lushcannons list. I'll add one more, the Kinks 'Thank you for the day'.
