Ontarian1981 10 #73 Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) Lol, you could ask a hundred people that question and get a hundred different songs. I could probably pick a hundred myself. However, if I have to name just one, I would say " Where Have All The Flowers Gone?'' written by the late Pete Seeger and recorded by many. This song, in my opinion, is the greatest anti-war song ever made, which for me, makes it a significant and important piece. AMR67 10 #75 Posted February 6, 2019 The lesser known Queen song "One year of love" has to be up there. It's from the movie Highlander.
 Share this content via...

I would struggle between Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy Deee-Lite - Groove is in the heart (those two are my funeral songs) Fairground Attraction - Comedy Waltz Scott Mackenzie - San Franscisco Frankie Knuckles - Your Love and probably a 100 more but some great songs in this thread
 Share this content via...

If we're going down the anti-war song road, then Barry McGuire's 'Eve of Destruction' (1965) takes some beating for me. Some prophetic lyrics in there too.
