jemson   10 #26 Posted April 7, 2016 Yeah, it has been pretty windy. I've done an 8 and a 12 so far this week. Got a daft idea about clocking 50 this week. . .
 Share this content via...

Flanker7 Â Â 20 #28 Posted April 8, 2016 How can I find out someone's race number? I have been telling everyone that our new parkrunner has a chance to win and they are asking me his number. His name is Ashenafi ERKOLO, (14 parkruns 14 first finishes!)
 Share this content via...
Waldo   96 #29 Posted April 8, 2016 What time are people getting to their starting areas for?  I'm planning on parking in the city center (hope everyone else doesn't have that idea too). Will get there around 8:30. A quick change, leave my bag in the car (not sure what system they'll have this year, but after what happened last year, I'm a little anxious about leaving my bag with the organisers).  I'll have time to do a little jog around and warm up, will probably join the starting area pen around 10 mins before the start of the race.  Hope the weather's good! Good luck everyone!
 Share this content via...
Fudbeer   12 #30 Posted April 8, 2016 Weathers looking close to perfect for Sunday.  Sunny but cool with light winds.  Don't think you can check race numbers pre race but you can search by name when results in.  Will get into town just before 9 good parking near west street/Division street no problems parking there last year.  Not fathing around with luggage storage even if I was on the bus would still avoid it.  Good luck all looking for 1.50 ish.  ---------- Post added 09-04-2016 at 09:09 ----------  Wow gonna be a few there http://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/news/sheffield-half-marathon-s-return-attracts-7-000-1-7834568  ---------- Post added 10-04-2016 at 14:02 ----------  Fantastic race again.  Got my sub 1.50  Thanks to all those who supported you were amazing. jemson   10 #31 Posted April 10, 2016 Brilliant. Well done there. Support was crazy. Me and OH had a great run too, paced well, finishing in 2.12.
 Share this content via...
Waldo   96 #32 Posted April 10, 2016 Weathers looking close to perfect for Sunday. Sunny but cool with light winds.  <snip>  Got my sub 1.50  Thanks to all those who supported you were amazing.  A bit too warm for my liking!  Anyhow, congrats on your sub 1:50.  Completely agree, the people of Sheffield are truly fantastic! Wall to wall support pretty much all the way round, super friendly and supportive.  I was a bit slow though, have a bit of an ankle issue and not done much training to speak of. Finished 30 mins slower than last year, in 2:19.  ---------- Post added 10-04-2016 at 15:25 ----------  Anyone know where to find the results?  ---------- Post added 10-04-2016 at 15:31 ----------  Found em....  http://chiptiming.co.uk/results/?sport=1&year=2016&event=2586&race=4427
 Share this content via...
Craigfox99 Â Â 10 #33 Posted April 11, 2016 Fantastic day and the support was amazing! Managed to get my Half Marathon PB, 1hr 42min! Thanks to everyone who helped and supported!
 Share this content via...
lawro   10 #34 Posted April 11, 2016 What a fantastic day with great support and some really great performances. A word too for Steve Bailey from Radio Sheffield who did a fantastic job commentating and tried to name as many runners as possible, he should be doing the morning show rather than the early morning show
 Share this content via...
Fudbeer   12 #35 Posted April 11, 2016 The race is getting amazing reviews on runners world with some saying its the best they have ever attended.  Great to see and a big plus for the organisers and the people of sheffield roll on next year which will be year 12 for me!  Might do Leeds but not as keen on the course. Waldo   96 #36 Posted April 12, 2016 Did Leeds last year, found it a bit bland in contrast with Sheffield. I'd only do it if I was running well and really enjoying running right now.
 Share this content via...
