It's been half term this week.

We've just been to Center Parcs and a car parked near us had an OWL number plate - only from Sheffield! Our daughter kept bumping into people she knows from work. Seems like it was South Yorkshire half term only. It was quiet compared to previous visits.

My philosophy is that if the ice cream melts then its warm enough. :)

Surely the proof of the pudding (ice cream pudding?) will be whether or not people buy from the van.

Why would you care whether its too early in the year to sell ice cream. He's a business. If he is making money then obviously people want to buy ice cream, so they dont think its too early. If they think its too early, then they wont buy and he will lose money. In that case he will go elsewhere or cease selling till later in the year.

The OP should be relieved to know the ice cream van was nowhere to be seen in Hillsborough Park today...

Nowt wrong with ice cream when the weather is cold, it slows down the melting process so it must be ok.
