JIM HARDIE ~ Yes, sorry two goals but a hell of a lot nearer than we will be this season.

What about sacking Blackwell after TWO league games? Result: Relegation.

Ever since coming down from the prem it's been a sucession of bad appointments and mistimed sackings. Not sure which category Adkins will end up in.

Yes, Blackwell sacking after 2 games was a mistake, he should have been sacked at the end of the season before.

But to give him the summer and then sack him was even more foolish.

As manager of Northampton or manager of United which one remains to be seen.

There's rumours going around United have made a move for him.

Shows what I know, but i was referring to the rumours with Yanal as much as anything.

I agree, I'm totally against the constant sacking of managers, Adkins has a decent track record and can't be expected to change things in less than a season with (mostly) someone elses players.

The players he did chose to bring in let him down badly, contributing to his downfall. Having seen Sammon play i was left bewildered, maybe he was good once or can only play with a certain type of player alongside him but had to be seen to be believed.

As for changing things in a season, he certainly managed that but for the worse!

Only postive, and maybe even saved us from a relegation battle was hiring Billy Sharp.
