RiffRaff
Very sad to hear. He was one of my favourite teachers there, along with Mr.White. Condolences to his family and friends.
andrejuan
I can't seem to picture him? Was he same era as Mr Bradshaw?
Gone4good
He was my form teacher back in the 1960s. I remember him as a tall bloke with a grey suit and dark hair. Deep voice. Sarcastic, but then all teachers were back then. He'd always wait for a girl to answer his maths question.
Jon26
That is sad. Condolences to his family. He taught me A level maths along with Mrs Chandler. Them coupled with Mr Smith made maths one of my favourite subjects. He was firm but fair. Until recently I used to see him and his wife (who worked in Greenhill library) walking in Graves Park at weekends.
sedith
Mr Wilson took me for maths in the fourth year at Jordanthorpe. My final form teacher before leaving school was Mr Pyror. I didn't know Geoff Wilson ended up as deputy head ... Mr Rooks was deputy head and Mr Adams headteacher when I was there in the late sixties. I remember an art teacher ... Mr Hudson rings a bell ... he wasn't there long, use to keep nipping out into the anteroom dividing the two classrooms for a cigarette during the lesson.
