Anna B Â Â 1,401 #2 Posted February 3, 2016 Good idea Eric. Watching it now. Â ---------- Post added 03-02-2016 at 12:18 ---------- Â ESA cuts. Cameron's constant harping back to Wales shows he has no answer to Jeremy Corbyn's questions. Avery poor show by Cameron.
 Share this content via...

Anna B Â Â 1,401 #4 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Me too. I sometimes think PMQs is a waste of time anyway, as a straight question never gets a straight answer, in fact usually no answer at all. Â Can you actually remember hearing the answers to any of those questions Eric? Edited February 3, 2016 by Anna B
 Share this content via...
Guest   #5 Posted February 3, 2016 I'm fed up hearing about how apparently most people are turned off PMQ's because of its loud rowdiness. Bull. I can't think of anything more boring than a load of MP's politely and quietly disagreeing with one another.
 Share this content via...
Anna B Â Â 1,401 #6 Posted February 3, 2016 Re: Disabled and ESA. Cameron said Universal Credit would not effect people already in receipt of this payment, as they were already receiving it long term. Either he's not up to date on his own policies or that's an outright lie. Â What he didn't say was that those already in receipt of it long term still have to be reassessed every 2 years and make a fresh claim, (just in case their missing limbs have grown back presumably.) Their new claim will be subject to cuts, and everyone will be moved onto Universal credit, which is also subject to cuts.
 Share this content via...
strangerthe6   10 #7 Posted February 3, 2016 Me too. I sometimes think PMQs is a waste of time anyway, as a straight question never gets a straight answer, in fact usually no answer at all. Can you actually remember hearing the answers to any of those questions Eric?  Spot on. I've only been watching since Cameron has been Prime Minister so can't comment on previous Prime Ministers but its a complete waste of time. Any "hostile" questions are "answered" by "When his party was in power"
 Share this content via...
muddycoffee   10 #8 Posted February 3, 2016 I used to follow PMQs as well. But I agree Cameron has managed to make it pointless. He never answers a legitimate question and the speaker does not make him answer like he should.  Also the Tories prepare ridiculous planted questions from their back bench which prepares Cameron for a party political broadcast. The whole event is nothing more than an embarrassment now. It used to be informative and interesting.
 Share this content via...
Eric Arthur   10 #9 Posted February 3, 2016 Oh come on, give it a rest PMQ's have been like it since forever, the planted questions, blaming the previous government, not answering the questions, the cheering, the jeering, etc, etc. This Golden Age of PMQ's never existed.  Gordon Brown  This is Blair's first PMQ nearly 20 years ago.  John Major  Margaret Thatcher in the first televised PMQ's.  Today's was a bit dull to be honest. The EU negotiation debate afterwards was better.
 Share this content via...
Marx   10 #10 Posted February 3, 2016 Smoke and mirrors. I think the EU deal was fixed months ago and the pig mucker is just drip-feeding the sheep. No way we are leaving the EU.
 Share this content via...

The EU negotiation debate afterwards was better.  You have a point.  I liked Jeremy Corbyn's original idea of being more civlized, but he does come across as deadly dull. And his politeness means he refuses to be nasty to bully boy Cameron. As well as making Corbyn look weak, if ever a politician needed his massive ego puncturing big time with a well placed metaphorical dagger, it's Cameron. horribleblob   212 #12 Posted February 3, 2016 I've been an avid viewer of PMQ's for many a year (mostly via the Daily Politics) and don't mind the rough and tumble, but, now and again, would appreciate a less grandstanding sister programme of PMA's.
