Manor/Country House in Pitsmoor

Hi,

 

From West Bar/Corporation Street looking towards Pitsmoor you can see a big building that looks like a Manor House or Church on a hill.

 

Does anyone know what it is?

Is it the ex Pye Bank Primary school - empty for years but likely to be the site of the new NE Sheffield secondary school

It sounds like you mean the old school building Pye Bank. It was supposed to be redeveloped but not sure what happened as it's been empty for at least a decade.

Lovely building, isn't it? Hope they will be able to incorporate at least the frontage and entrance into whatever they put there. Be a shame to lose it, imo.

It's a Grade 2 listed building - it is the only reason it was not demolished years ago

I live next to it, and there's rumours it's going to be re-opened as a school, it's one of the candidates to be a new school...
