I stated that more and more people are cancelling their BBC TV Licence because the figures show exactly that.

How many TV Licences are in force in the UK?

Financial year 2018/19..........25,752,560

Financial year 2017/18..........25,836,495

There is a steady downward trend. This is with the number of households in the UK rising.

Do you struggle to do the barest research on a topic before making an innacurate accusation?

That doesn’t show that more and more people are cancelling. It shows that slightly fewer licences are in force. A completely different thing. Can you think of any other reasons for this, because there are plenty.

Do you struggle to think about the stuff that you cut and paste onto here.

I suppose if you don’t quote all the given data....

Why did you ignore the rest of the data?  Do you struggle to make your case if you present the data accurately?

Seems like a downward trend,

"The Times reported the number of licences held across the UK fell by 82,000 in the five months to March this year, citing data obtained via the Freedom of Information Act.

This works out at around 550 per day, on average."

A next to nowt trend given the availability and increased bandwith of broadband over the same period.

No sign the masses are abandoning  the Beeb.

Tricky to spot a trend from one piece of data.

Well done.

If current trends continue then nobody will have a licence in 137 years. Bit late for Car Boot, apelike and retep to celebrate 🥂

According to the figures provided by Arnold -  after nine years of increasing, there is one year of a drop.

Apparently this is evidence of a downward trend?

I must confess it's a few years since I studied statistics but I didn't realise I was that far out of touch with the latest statistical terminiology.

Exactly my point.

They aren’t my figures.  I got them from the link that Car Boot provided.  However, he took out most of the data when he copied it here.  Poor form.

Why should I celebrate? I don't care if people do or don't have a TV license as I don't watch it or need one myself.

So you keep reminding us...........................................................

Odd way of showing you don't care.

Why? I am simply pointing out the legal fact that some may not need one despite some on here making out they do.
